Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $145.00
90 minutes: $185.00

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness  is pretty common after the treatment. To help alleviate soreness or to keep it at a minimum, rehydrate your body by increasing water intake, take an anti-inflammatory medication if possible, and use an ice pack for 15 to 20 minutes, 3 rounds, off and on. Soreness typically subsides after 1-2 days.

Hot Stone

60 minutes: $165.00
90 minutes: $195.00

During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are used on specific parts of the body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. The hot stones assist in making the muscles more pliable, which makes it easier to get into the deeper layers of the muscles. The stones are used to alleviate sore, tense, and achy muscles. Hot stones can be used as a relaxation tool or aid in deep tissue work.

**Please note this service has to be booked in advance. No last minute add on. The stones need time to heat to the proper temperature.

This promotes relief of muscle tension, adhesions, migraines, and many other ailments. Cupping is known to improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. The cups stay in place between 5-10 minutes, depending on the severity of the area.

Although cupping therapy is highly effective for most individuals, it can possibly leave dark marks on your skin, that resembles a bruise, for up to 6 weeks. The suction from the cups break capillaries which cause the marks. Cupping marks aren't true bruises and do not injure the muscles.

Dynamic cupping involves the use of hard plastic cups and a vacuum, also known as suction cups. This type of therapy uses cups and movement to improve soft tissue pliability, reduce pain, and increase range of motion. This is accomplished by gliding the cups over the skin and creating a pulling sensation that stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation. Dynamic cupping therapy is known to speed up the body's recovery process.
